AODC 2007
Rendezvous Hotel, Melbourne
2nd - 4th May 2007
The tenth annual Australasian Online Documentation and Content Conference, AODC 2007,
was held in Melbourne at the Rendezvous Hotel from Wednesday
2nd to Friday 4th May. It was the event of the year for anyone involved in
corporate documentation, online Help, Web authoring and technical writing.
AODC 2007 featured almost 20 sessions covering techniques,
technologies, tools and case studies, presented by international and local expert
speakers. Session topics included DITA, structured authoring, XML, e-learning, usability, editing, migration to
Microsoft Vista, user assistance and case studies. For all the details, see the
agenda. Unfortunately the conference proceedings are
not available for sale.
The
registration fee for the three day Conference was A$1199, including
GST.
We also presented two pre-conference workshops
on Tuesday 1st May, "Introduction to DITA" with Tony Self and "Adobe Captivate"
with Matthew Ellison. These were amazing value at only $297 per half day
workshop for AODC registrants.

About AODC
Since the
very first Australasian Online Documentation Conference in Melbourne in 1998,
the conference has developed a reputation as the premier event for technical
writers, help developers, Web authors and documentation developers from
Australia and New Zealand. Our speaker list reads like a Who's Who of
documentation, as we strive to ensure that experts in techniques and
technologies are available to share their knowledge and expertise. The conference
is also a great place to network with other documentation professionals.
