| The 6th Annual Australasian Online Documentation
Conference was held in the heart of the Gold Coast, Queensland. The
Gold Coast is famous for its 42 km of golden sandy beaches, and
spectacular sub-tropical hinterland. Our venue was the Grand
Mercure, Broadbeach.
Our focus in 2003 was competencies:
consolidating and improving online communication techniques and skills.
An integral part of AODC is always networking. We
had some
fabulous social events,
including the Welcome Reception by the pool, the Panviva Breakfast, the Systemik Solutions Ice
Cream Break and the ever-popular Trivia Night.
On Tuesday 8th April, the day before the Conference proper, three
specialised workshops were conducted: Welcome to Online
Documentation,
Unleashing Cascading Style Sheets, and Planning Successful Help
Projects.

About AODC
Since the
very first Australasian Online Documentation Conference in Melbourne in 1998,
the conference has developed a reputation as the premier event for technical
writers, help developers, Web authors and documentation developers from
Australia and New Zealand. Our speaker list reads like a Who's Who of
